In the malacca town, except for the famous jonker street, where else you can chill out? This definitely is a good place for you to gather with gangs of buddy. Nadeje, established since 2006. Nadeje prides itself on its quality fresh ingredients and finest handmade Mille Crepe & other special cakes/desserts that taste flavourful and satisfying all on its own.

I was on tour with gangs of friend and fortunately we find this place for this lovely afternoon to have some tea break. Well, it's the first time that I heard this humor that it famous of it's "special cakes" . How special it is? Let's check it out!

Nadeje (Melaka Branch)

We ordered a total of  4-5 pieces of this "special cakes" and also ordered two pot of flower tea which consists of different flavours, lavender and chrysanthemum.  The aroma of the flower tea smells good and relax~

When you using the fork and grab a bite on the cake, you can definitely feel the softness and compactness of this cake. The cream was laying storey by storey and it seems to be a total layers of 20++ layers. The soft and sweet cake that melt in your mouth when it was send into your mouth , will also melt your heart as well.

Addition again, it taste perfectly match when together with the flower tea. Both these cake and tea will ease your nerve down if you are having a pressurized weekdays.

Last but no least, you can bring along some book or your mp3 to enjoy your high tea for your whole afternoon. The whole environment of this restaurant is also chilling and relax. The atmosphere also has a sweet and soft smell, which can brought you with a good mood after you enter it.

Ming Kee Steam Soup 洺记炖汤 @ Paramount Garden

This is a road side stall which starts business hour at 5pm-10pm. At the dinner time, you will see a lot of people whom back from work come here to have dinner. This stall is just located along the road adjacent to Pos Malaysia. You will notice a swarm of crowd sit besides the road and there it is. This stall has been established since many decades ago and thus has a lot of loyal customers. Their signature home-taste-alike steam soups made this stall survives through few decades and even published in the local TV programme. However, the price doesn't hike up as its fame does.

Pepper Pig's Stomach Soup
Nuduo Ginseng (teen Chat) RM9

Radix Angelicae Sinesis (Dong Guai) RM8

There is around 22 types of herbal steam soup. The sweetest thing there is benefits of each soup are  listed in the menu. For instance, Nuduo Ginseng is good for blood circulation whereas Radix Angelica sinesis soup is good for nutrition. There is also pig brain soup!! It is good for brain as it written. So don't scold people that you got a pig brain next time as people drink it to enhance their brain function. lol. If you want to drink their signature soup like chicken herbal soup or Ginseng root soup, you have to come earlier because it sells like a hot cake!

Apart from the steam soup, there is also other dishes like poultry, vegetables, bean curds, etc. The boss gave us few dishes as FREE!! I don't know why, maybe we were the new customers or it was near to the closing hour but we felt grateful about it. Steam salted fish minced pork meat is a MUST order dish! Really marvellous and suitable to eat with rice. The salted fish has its unique, saliva stimulating scent. So, the salted fish and minced meat is a perfect combination. I think the chef put some Chinese alcohol into this dish too which enhances its strong aroma. Saliva keeps dripping when the smell of it goes into your nose.

Apart from that, steam bean curd minced meat also thumb up! The bean curd is so smooth and swallow it without any effort. But don't be choked by the minced meat. It is delicious when the big piece of bean curd sprinkled  with minced meat and chopped spring onions and pour with its gravy.

Steam bean curd minced meat RM 5
Talk about the vegetable, bak choy with oyster sauce is a healthy choice. The bak choy is boiled and oyster sauce pour on it. You can eat the fresh, crunchy bak choy with slightly salty oyster sauce.

Bak choy with oyster sauce RM6
This is really a nice place to have your dinner here. You can enjoy the home style soup with cheaper price. It is better than a lot of big restaurants in the town.

Italiannies @ Paradigm Mall PJ

Italiannies has several branches in the country. The one I visited was at Paradigm Mall.  From the minute you walk into the restaurant, you will be greeted with black and white photographs  decorating the walls, warm, yellow lighting and dark wooden furniture which all add up to Italiannies homey ambiance. The open kitchen where the chefs bake the pizza attracts people to stop their move and watch. The chef put the dough into an old style wood fired oven to bake it. Can imagine that the pizza must be delicious.
The wall was decorated with black & white historical photographs.

Minestrone soup quite nice.

artichoke crostini

complementary bread

You will be served with complementary breads. The appetisers we ordered was artichoke crostini. The layers texture of the artichoke gave us a special taste. The cheese melted on the roasted bread and we already half full after ate it and the minestrone soup. The minestrone soup quite nice too.

We decided to ordered pasta as our main courses. Penne Bolognese was nice. The bolognese sauce and the minced meat made you can't stop your spoon in order to finish the penne. In addition, Parmigiana which was a  Southern Italian dish was made with a shallow-fried sliced filling, layered with cheese and tomato sauce and then baked. This was match with the angle hair pasta and definitely full and contented after eaten.

Ribs King 排骨王@ PJ

This is a small shop which hidden inside a residential area, Taman Paramount. There is no traffic jam problem, not over crowded until you have to queue outside in order to get a table, so definitely suitable for busy citizens to have a meal here. There is equipped with air-conditioner, environment is clean and magazines prepared. The TV there was  showing Taiwan Programme and I didn't know whether their restaurant ideas were came from Taiwan.
Since this shop names it as 'Ribs King', so we ordered the pork rib as it was signature dish. There was variety of cooking style and we ordered few of it. Pork Chop in Red Wine Sauce was special! There was really red wine smell and taste and abundant in amount. The pork chop was fried in a good tender texture too. The red wine with pork chop was a amazing match! It has alcohol smell and tastes sweet and little sour.

Pork chop in red wine sauce RM 7.90
Another recommended dish was Spare Ribs in Spicy Milk Sauce. This taste like curry plus milk scene. Very good to eat with rice. Little bit spicy and full of milky aroma. This was really nice indeed. You will wanna to try it again if next time you come back here.

Spare ribs in spicy milk sauce RM 8.90

Apart from that, you can try another freshly cook style-- Lemon Sauce Pork Chop. The fried onion rings and lemon slide were on top of the pork chop which gave it illusion's effect. The tender, succulent pork chop was soaked with the sour sweet lemon juice made it has a  freshly flavour but not oily taste. Suitable to eat in a hot afternoon.

Lemon sauce Pork Chop RM 7.90

All the sets were included fried eggs, carrots, french beans ,corns, cucumbers and tomatoes. There was no service tax or government tax. So it is quite money saving to have a meal there. Spend with little money and you can fill your stomach as well as your wallet.

Bar B. Q. Plaza @ Berjaya Times Square

Berjaya times square is a nice shopping complex in KL. Beside shopping, there is a theme park too. After playing the theme park, you may feel hungry and don't know where can eat. So, Bar B.Q. plaza is one of the choices where you can enjoy the BBQ! (note: it's non-halal)

Supreme Mixed RM34.90

BarB Gon is the mascot of Bar B Q Plaza. He is a cute cheerful dragon.
The menu is variety in combination. They have family set, supreme set, economic set and bbq items. So the price range from affordable to little bit pricey. The way they decorate the food is fascinating. This enhances  our appetites too. The set includes the meats and vegetables where we can experience self-grilling. Such cooking experience makes dining at Bar B Q Plaza enjoyable and mesmerising. The air convection is good so you won't feel smoky and stink after the meal. The meal is also accompanied by specially prepared sauce, which taste just right for grilled food. There is also lemon juice, chili and garlic prepared. You can mix them with the sauce or cook it with the meat. All up to you as you are the chef!

The supreme mixed set has sirloin, beef, bacon, chicken, squid, udon, shrimps, lettuce and other vegetables. The meat are cut into thin slides and easy to grill. You will see the beef turn into brown in less than 1 minute time. Dip the meat with their sauce and it tastes sweet! It is good to eat without the sauce too. Besides, the shrimps are really fresh and nice! You can add on the water in your pot. So that you can cook the soup which has accumulated all the meaty essence. The soup was suitable to cook the vegetable and meatball. You can also boil your meat or shrimps.

Supreme set

Grill the meat on the center of hot pot and boil the water which surround the center.

The appetiser we ordered was soft crabs salad. The soft crabs were crunchy and salty whereas the salad was sour sweet and crunchy peanuts gave another texture to this dish. Not bad.

Uncle Jang Korean Restaurant @Solaris Mont Kiara

This is a restaurant which located at the 3rd floor of the building. When I first visited this restaurant, the staircase was in dark and the basement was lighted up by using few candles. First I thought it was purposely designed like this, such romantic idea. But the truth was always cruel..Light bulb was spoiled..

When I stepped in the restaurant, it was happening. Here has no luxury design and quite disappoitning at its interior design..or I should say it has no design at all. Every table will have a big sizzling pot. The environment was little bit crowded and the air convection was really quite bad. You will feel hot and the smoke kept came out from the sizzling pot which may make you breath harder if there was no fan there.

Nevermind, we focus on its food. It's famous of Korean traditional food: Dak-Galbi. They fry the chicken, cabbage, rice cake and sweet potatoes on a big sizzling pot in front of you. They will put their special sauce and make it appears darker. Basically, just mix up all the ingredient. So the taste was really not so great..I like the ramen (with additional price of RM6) and the sweet potatoes.Beside that,  I really can't find  any special thing in this dish except the way they cooked ( cooked in a big sizzling pot in front of you and made you smell like stinky after backed home).

Oh ya, another special thing is you have to wear the apron to protect yourself. Otherwise, the gravy or ingredient may spilled on your cloth. Don't put your handphone or purse on the table while they are cooking unless you wanna taste your phone or purse too.

The menu was really limited. The price also little bit pricy, RM22. There is a rule that you must ordered at least 2 people portion then so they will cook the Dak-Galbi for you. I think 2 person meals was enough for 3 small appetite girls. The sides dish they gave were merely kimchi (not really nice, strong preservative taste) and salad.

The impression it leaves: It is just good enough to come once time. Quite unique experience as you have to wear apron and enjoy the waiter cooks with the big sizzling pot in front of you, good interaction.

Pitstop Cafe: coffee~ dine~ games @ PJ

When you are waiting for your meal in a cafe, what would you do? Playing candy crush? 4 pic 1 word? or just Facebook or twitter? The modern technology makes us indulge into our Ipads or smart phones and less connectivity between human. Let's us abandon our technology devices and start to play a game with friends while we are waiting our meal!

This game only suitable for 3 years old child.

As you can see from the photo, this <Pitstop cafe> provides variety of games on the shelf which includes board games, card, etc. But some games lost its instruction papers so this confused us as we were not familiar with the games XD

Recently, it has valuable promotion! 1 course meal + 1 drink + 1 mushroom soup + 1 free flow ice-cream with price RM 18 ~ RM30 according to the main course you choose. The food taste normal. The chicken chops basically quite nice and cheap. The <black and white chicken chop>  was chicken chop with mushroom and black pepper sauce. The <honey brown  sauce chicken chop> taste sweet and quite nice.  I like the wedges as it was crispy! But personally I found the mushroom soup was not really nice, it was too dilute. The apple soda drink also not recommended, taste like colouring drink only.

The portion of meal is quite big and the price is reasonable. The comfort environment and games provided attracts a lot of customers. Another attractive point is their self-serving ice-cream top up. They will give you a biscuit cone and you can go take your ice-cream as much as you can! The flavours includes chocolate, Oreo, mints, yam, strawberry, etc. But when I went to take it, almost all flavours finished and left orea and chcolate flavours only. That time was only 1830. I wondered why they don't top up the ice-cream...Haiz..
