Wanna enjoy a full and rich dinner without too much of oily and deep fried food? Here is the place where you need to visit. In Kuala Lumpur, there is a lot of good food where you can serve as dinner. But , if you wanna have a great taste of dinner without causing too much burden to your body, this is definitely a good choice. For me, this is definitely a good choice where you can even bring along your family who has elderly in home, as this definitely suit their taste.
Lan Jie Steam Fish Restaurant (Branch)
The signature dish served by this restaurant is their steam fish, and the culture of this restaurant is they will serve the fish each for a person. But believe me that the portion is just right and nice for you with order for 2 to 3 more side dishes.

Fried egg with fresh bitter gourd

Steam Fish for 2 person with 2 side dish
I did try this out , together with 2 more side dish. I recommend that if 2 person, 1 side dish is preferred. The steam fish is really fresh and you can taste the tenderness and sweetness of the fish meat. There is also only one kind of fish available, so please do not order and ask for what kind of fish is available... (only africa freshwater fish is available - 非洲鱼)

The price is also consider cheap where the meal for 2 person is only cost for RM30-40 . So it is definitely a good choice for everyone, where you can have such a great dinner, and at the same time bring less the burden to your body.

Kin Kin Chili Ban Mian @ KL

Perhaps there is plenty of you all have no idea what " ban mian" is. Let me do a little explaination for it. " Ban Mian" is just actually noodles, just it was lengthen in it's width, like 1/2 inch, then flat and long. It was something like " kuey teow" but was thicker than that.

"Ban Mian" was usually match well and cooked in soup based style. But, in this shop, you can only found one kind of noodle, which is in dry based, and the boss named it as " Chili Ban Mian" .

Restoran Kin Kin

When the boss served the noodle, it was just looks so plain and there is no diffrent with normal dry-stir noodles. Then I was decided to have a taste of it and it just taste simply plain and can can is zero taste at all.

However, after i put in a scoop of the dry chili which prepared on the table, miracle happened!! The taste have an overturn of 360 degree which you will ever feel that this was the most delicious noodle that you ever ate before. I will suggest that when you are there and having this, you increase the amount of the chili powder gradually as the tastiness is different for each individual.

What special about this Ban Mian? What make it outstanding from others? The secret is inside the chili. Beside spicy, it has its special fragnance. Is it garlic, onion or whatever which enhance its fragnance?? There was a notice sticked on the wall showed that: "Don't steal the chilli." Now you know how many opponents it has who try to steal its recipe.

For majority who live in kl or study there, there is currently a few branches for this shop. However, I would still recommend that all should come to this original shop and the it definitely provided the authentic taste of this chili ban mian. (This is share by my friend whoever visit the branches)!!

Lastly, the price of this chili ban mian is only RM 4-5. It also serves with a big portion. It also kinda inconvenient if you are not driving.

Curry Wanton Mee - 咖哩云吞面 @ SS2

Trouble with what to have during your breakfast? Curry noodle? Or wanton noodles? why  not try the combination of both of them-curry wanton noodle. This stall has been a mysteries , since it always open in such an early time, none of us will woke up in such foggy period. Fortunately for writer who is me got such opportunity to enjoy this.

As what I know, this stall start this business around 4am in the morning. When you are thinking that you are having your breakfast, the rest might be still having their midnight supper and will have a great sleep after a grab of this noodles.

The speciality of this noodle is they are combining the yellow thin size noodle which frequently used for making of dry-stir noodles with soy and black sauce, and combined this into the curry soup base, which result in " curry wanton noodle". The great taste from the smoothness of the noodles and the well-cooked curry match both these together and formed another greater level of tastiness. The size served by the boss is definitely generous as this will allowed you to have a full and great feeling during the beginning of the day. It also served with a gigantic amount of side dish like fish ball, " tau pok" , which is the deep fried tofu skin, minced meat and also with the deep fried items.

What you need to pay attention is that when you are order and wanna have your noodle there, please do share the table together with other as there are only 2 table with severals of chairs is prepared. Well  this also is kinda good way for human to sit down and chat with each other while enjoying your meal.

Lastly, the price of this noodle. If my memory is still clear, this bowl of delicious noodle was own by me with just using RM4-4.5. This is definitely cheap and low price.
